Fashion giant H&M is known for collaborating with luxury brands in the past like Versace, Alexander Wang, and Giambattista Valli – just to name a few. Recently, the highstreet fashion brand announced its collaboration with luxury Italian brand Giuliva Heritage. The collection is of timeless pieces with sustainability in focus.

Giuliva Heritage is a family-owned luxury Italian brand known for its flawless tailoring. Founded by husband and wife Margherita Cardelli and Gerardo Cavaliere, the brand is known for incorporating classic menswear silhouette into women’s clothing. Since the couple is keen on creating long-lasting clothing, they use exclusive, great, and high-quality fabrics. Together with H&M, they created modernized silhouettes of some of the brand’s classic pieces. The materials used for the production of the awaited collection came from sustainable sources. With the goal of both brands toward a journey to circularity, recycled fabrics are also used.

A press release from H&M stated that in the beginnings of the Italian brand, Margherita often borrowed clothing from Gerardo’s wardrobe. Her interest in menswear is one of the primary inspirations of the collection. To keep in character with the brand, the collaboration features traditional shirting, strong tailored blazers, and contemporary trench coats in recycled wools, recycled polyester, and organic cotton. The duo also features flowing blouses and dresses. To stay true to the vision of making the collection look timeless, the pieces come in classic tones such as beige, navy, dusk blue, and burgundy. Some silhouettes are with cowl-necklines, bishop sleeves, and high waists.

According to the couple, it was wonderful to work with the fashion giant. Since they’re passionate about authenticity and meaningful designs, they created pieces that stand the test of time and use recycled materials for every look. H&M also shared their sentiments by saying that they’re thrilled to collaborate with fine tailoring experts. Both sides are excited to release accessible and timeless pieces for modern women and hoping that customers will pass down their purchased clothing from one generation to another.
