French luxury fashion house Balmain re-introduced powerhouse trends in its Ready-To-Wear Spring 2021 Collection. Neon colors are totally in based on this runway show, as well as 1970s wide bell-bottoms paired with heel mesh sock shoes:

This runway show for Paris Fashion Week was also dominated by pagoda shoulder suits, a nod to Pierre Cardin’s 1979 menswear collection. Italian-born fashion designer Cardin was inspired by his travel in China, and referenced the cornices of Chinese towers in his new shoulder silhouette in the late 1970s. Balmain brought back the legendary pagoda shoulders that dipped from the collar along the shoulder line, before ascending several inches from the edge in these groundbreaking powersuits. Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing seemed to accentuate the shoulders considering the Zoom meeting lifestyle these days:To view and shop the entire collection, hop on to Balmain’s official website here.
