Manila, Philippines — There really is nothing a mother would not do for her famiy and children. A mom’s love is unconditional. And that unparalled love comes with responsibilities, which sometimes can be overwhelming. Filipina actress Chesca Kramer knows this fact all too well.

During the recent press conference of Richeese Wafers wherein Chesca’s family of five made up of husband Doug Kramer and their children Clair Kendra, Scarlett Louvelle, and Gavin Phoenix were introduced as new brand ambassadors, the actress shared that running a household “really takes a village.”

“It takes a village, and you cannot do it alone. You really need the help of the people of the household,” she shared.

But even so, the actress emphasized that mothers still need their alone time, too.

“But I also need my me-time. And everybody in the house knows that sometimes, I also need my me-time or my quiet time when I get to do things that I want to do alone.”

The maternal force of Team Kramer shared that to have her me-time, it takes learning how to set boundaries and inculcating discipline in her children.

“I have trained my children to respect that me-time that I also need so that I can be better during my time with them. Doug also helps in making sure the children understand that I also need my alone time. I think it is also important that you speak up and ask for help, especially mothers. We cannot do everything, and we need the help of the people around us,” she said while answering a question from Stylish Magazine.

This obvious healthy interaction between the Team Kramer family members make them a great representation of the recently launched campaign of Richeese Wafers dubbed as “Sarap Every Moment.”

Nothing portrays the Filipino culture more than the value of familial importance ingrained in ever aspect of our lives. This sentiment brings color to our day-to-day interactions as well as mundane moments with loved ones.

Nabati, makers of Richeese wafers, announced its new direction this year that aims to bring families together. Nabati Country Manager Dr. Jessie Singson shared why the brand has chosen the Kramer family to represent their new campaign.

“This campaign is centered on forging deeper connections through family quality time fueled by indulging in the delicious array of Richeese Wafer snacks together,” Singson said in a statement. “With their wholesome and fun personalities, they would carry the brand to new heights as a picture-perfect family that Filipino households will all love, adore, and follow.”

During the media event, Richeese Wafers also introduced its seven different flavors, ranging from Richeese, Richoco, Richoco Milk Vanilla, Pink Lava, Richnuts, Coco Lava and Cookies & Cream.

Aside from encouraging mothers to value their own me-time, Chesca also shared how she teaches her children to maintain their own sense of self-love and how they can better represent themselves to the world.

“I always tell my kids, ‘some people will like you, some people will not like you’. But don’t forget who you are. And who you are should not be dependent on the kindness and the goodness of a person toward you. You should always be kind anyway, “ she said.

“Do not forget that you are the Lord’s person, and that in Him is where you should put your trust. You should remember who you are based on how He sees you. You should remember the work of God that is in you,“ she added.

Indeed, teaching the importance of self-love in young kids as they face the pressure of social media is vital these days. It is inspiring to learn that modern-day mothers like Chesca Kramer understands and practices this concept as we take new cues in raising the next generation.
