As a Dating & Relationship Editor at Stylish Magazine, I’m all about advocating regularly grooming the kitten, not for anyone else’s approval, but for your own hygiene and personal aesthetics and standards. Needless to say, I’ve tried all sorts of Brazilian wax services in the metro. So when our editor-in-chief Marane Plaza told me I should try Singapore’s famous ‘less-pain’ Brazilian wax catered by Pink Parlour, I got curious and couldn’t wait until I try it for myself.

Pink Parlour was first established in Singapore in 2005, and was the first to introduce the less-pain wax, no double dips policy, anti-bacteria fumigation and use of gloves in the grooming and hair removal industry. Today, it has presence in not only Singapore, but also the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia. Its popular less-pain Brazilian wax has been recognized with multiple awards across the regions.

Now, on to my own experience with Pink Parlour. It’s just another work day at Stylish Magazine, and I got tagged along by my editor at Pink Parlour’s posh branch at Eight Forbes Town in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. As Stylish Magazine’s battle cry has always been #SelfLoveisStylish, grooming our kittens, we believe, is a self-love ritual!

My first impression the minute I entered Pink Parlour? OMG, this waxing salon is all about sophistication and prettiness   —   a real pink haven for the ladies!

Pink Parlour not only offers hair removal services, but also nail preening, spray tanning and the all-new bumbum facial, which is a dainty spa sesh for your ass cheeks. LOL! We will talk about that in another story.

Seriously though, if you’re about to have a date night with your beau, Pink Parlour is your ideal stop to prep. This salon is a one-stop shop for all things preening and grooming  —  from getting your nails done, to getting smooth and clean, well, in everywhere you need to be smooth and clean!

Now down to my own experience with Pink Parlour’s infamous “less-pain” Brazilian wax, the attendant told me to get ready first in the room, to do things I needed to do like clean my private area with wipes and maybe mentally prepare myself with the typical pain that goes with waxing. Going inside the room, I was welcomed by Pink Parlour’s popular kitten stuff toy and instantly, I felt relaxed. It’s cute to be reminded that it’s cool and necessary to take care and groom our kittens down there, not for anyone, but ourselves.

Pink Parlour developed its own hair removal wax formulation, and it’s also color pink. No double dipping, the attendant truly waxed every hair I had down there without reusing the wax, which is just all you need to know about how Pink Parlour values hygiene in their practice.

A few pulls and waxes, and voila, I was smooth down there! I was already done, it was quick and easy. I gotta say, compared to other waxing salons, Pink Parlour indeed offers a less-pain, more tolerable hair removing sesh. Additional five stars to the attendant who was so friendly and attentive, asking me every part of the way if I was comfortable and okay. I love it!

Now I understand why Pink Parlour’s Brazilian Wax has been acclaimed with multiple awards across Asia! I’m proud to say I’m a survivor of Pink Parlour’s hair removal sesh , and I could not wait until my friends get to try it for themselves!

Pink Parlour also offers home waxing kits, for those who want to use its painless formulation at home.
