Together with Visa and adidas, we are fortunate to send that message around the world through this campaign,” Zalora CEO Aashish Midha  told Stylish Magazine in an interview during the event.

“We are thrilled to reopen the Z-Train as we celebrate both our 11th year and women’s month, in partnership with one of our top brands, adidas, and one of our most trusted payment partners, Visa. This tripartite partnership is a testament to our shared vision of championing women in sports, as well as giving customers a unique and exciting omnichannel retail experience. It’s also the perfect way to transition into summer as we have a full month filled with surprises, both new and loyal customers will surely enjoy,” he added.

“This year, we continue to strengthen our commitment to women in sport—from product innovations to the communities we engage with, and one of which is with our valued partner ZALORA. Through our collaboration for the second stop of the Z-train, we’re able to bring together and celebrate a diverse set of women as we celebrate International Women’s Month,” said adidas Philippines Brand Activation Manager, Jen Dacasin.

Meanwhile, main payment partner Visa recently teamed up with Filipina footballer Inna Palacios to reinforce its support to Philippine sports and women empowerment.

One of the thrusts of Visa is empowerment, and Inna represents that for us. And we are very happy that she is representing our country and of course the ladies in women’s football. If you look at the history, we have always been a basketball country. Who would have thought that the Philippines will play football in the global stage? And it is represented by the Filipinas, so it is a very good story and Inna represents that– the journey, the struggle of the Filipinas in a sport that is not always for Filipinos and in the global stage. It is a good story especially for a little girl who wants to dream something big. It is a strong message saying that you can do it even if it has never been done before. That is the power of what we are doing now,” Jeff Navarro, Visa Country Manager for the Philippines and Guam, told the press during the event.

Women empowerment is a very big thing that Visa truly believes and supports. So when we have partners like Zalora with the same objective, and our goals are aligned, we want to make our commitment to more partnerships we have such as this. At Visa, we believe that our brand and our business, we are in a very unique position to make lives better. And when you say make lives better, we are uplifting groups that need support, such as women,Gladys Chan, Marketing Director at Visa told Stylish Magazine.

To support the cause, Visa is participating as the main payment partner. Visa is offering its cardholders an extra P500 off on top of vouchers and markdowns on selected adidas items. Customers can also get a free customizable Visa Jersey for every use of the promo in Z-Train

“I feel very grateful that I have that voice to share because in reality, same thing happened to me when I was a kid. I looked up to someone, I saw a bronze medal from SEA Games from my coach, and that moment gave me something to dream about,” Inna shared to the press during the event. “And that is what I am doing now for the little kids. Maybe the little girls who see me here can be inspired. We can inspire them to dream bigger. I want them to have more and better opportunities.”

“Filipins fight hard to be seen. Sports is such a male-dominated industry.  And for women to excel and do good, like Hidilyn Diaz winning the first gold Olympics medal for the Philippines, that is inspiring.”
