Bottega Veneta sure knows how to make netizens phenomenally amused.

Last year, the high fashion brand made waves on social media with its “instant noodle shoes”. And now, another piece from the pre-fall 2020 collection is going viral. The BV Twist Bag‘s design allegedly looks like a tied-up black garbage bag.

Actually, the Bottega Veneta Twist Bag comes in a variety of colors and textures. For obvious reasons, the one that has people going cray online is the version in black Nappa leather. The bag has a knotted handle that allows you to carry it as a wristlet. But that same amazing feature, the knot, is what’s made it look like a trash bag according to the netizens.

For a “trash bag”, it sure is hellah expensive at $2,740. But hey, it is Bottega Veneta after all, envisioned by its creative director Daniel Lee. What if he is actually creating a statement on sustainable fashion with this creation? Then the mockery is on us for not getting it at all!

Truthfully, this chic bag is simply not for the commonly fashion-impaired fellas. Because with the right style mindset and fashion attitude, this black BV Twist Bag is actually pretty brilliant and sleek, and can only be carried and slayed by true-blue stylista’s. The controversial purse is made of 100% calfskin,  and the bottom of the bag has a zip opening for easy access on the inside. Stylish and functional? We are all in!
