Launching its bold, gorgeous, fun line of colored eyeliners and lipsticks in February last year, Ready.Set. Glow immediately won the hearts of beauty junkies by sending a clear message on embracing fearless creativity in makeup. There were not enough quality colored eyeliners from local makeup brands before, so Ready.Set.Glow’s premier Badass Collection was an instant hit and a real gamechanger. A month later, everyone faced a new lifestyle brought about by the global pandemic lockdown.

“The decision to launch Ready.Set. Glow (RSG) during the pandemic was not the original intention. We had wanted to launch in 2020 expecting normal conditions. So we were faced with the options to either wait until the pandemic was over, or to rethink and adjust the strategies given the new market realities,” Marian Lao Siggaoat, Ready.Set.Glow Creative Director and Co-Founder, shared.

“The RSG team decided to remain true to the brand value it wanted to espouse – fearlessness. We focused more on pushing our eye makeup line to allow our customers to continue to express themselves creatively despite wearing face masks,” she said. “True enough, our colorful eye makeup products definitely have allowed our customers to feel some sense of normalcy during these hard times. We’ve received messages from our clients about how our Badass Collection has helped them to feel beautiful and cope with the pandemic through creativity and makeup.  I think this has allowed RSG too to differentiate itself in a very competitive market,” Marian added.

Indeed, Ready.Set.Glow takes pride in its Badass Collection made of satin crème and silky matte lipsticks in 9 shades, smudge-proof colored liquid eyeliners in 6 shades, colored waterproof gel eyeliners with sharpeners that come in 8 shades, smudge-proof eye shimmers in four shades. The formulations have been made in South Korea, Taiwan and China.

“Ready.Set.Glow’s inspiration has always been the fun, fearless female who is not afraid to express herself and her individuality. She is not just another face in the crowd,” Marian said.

Early in 2021, Ready.Set.Glow has also introduced its additional makeup products to its Badass Collection: the all-new Glittered Eyeliners that come in 4 shades Orange Sparkle, Glittery Gray, Pink Diamond and Hazel Dazzle.  and its premiere Graphic White Liner. ”These innovative eyeliners allow a badass woman to have fun and be creative with her makeup even during these gloomy and challenging times,” Marian said.

Advocating Self-Love through Makeup

As Ready.Set.Glow has always been expressive in its encouragement in embracing bold creativity in makeup, it is not surprising that the Filipino cosmetic brand is advocating self-love.

“The world right now is facing a very challenging time. And according to studies, what makes a person sick has a great deal to do with the status of the mind. These difficult times affect our self-confidence and the way we see life, weighs down our hope, and pins down our spirit. That’s why it is very important to us that we continue to send a message of hope, fearlessness and self-love. A little routine of colors can definitely change how we go about our day,” Carla See De Castro, Self-Love advocate and Ready.Set.Glow’s Marketing Representative, shared.

“We are honored that through our makeup line, we can help in uplifting the mood and morale of our customers by encouraging bold creativity and fun in makeup even these dark times. As we glow together, we build a sense of community that we can divert the negativity into fun, bold creativity. Makeup is an art as it brings out the beauty of the spirit and a positivity from within,” Carla added.
