Proenza Schouler presented its Spring/Summer 2022 Collection during New York Fashion Week, flaunting its sophisticated technical skills and traditional tailoring techniques in its modern looks. The show was a sea of urban ensembles with black, bright orange and yellow as dominating color schemes. The runway presentation highlighted interesting Buddha beads hanging as embellishments on some tops, long dresses with fringe details, tailored blazers and pants in bold colors, long frocks with cut-outs, flowy maxi dresses, and ‘fits paired with wide penny loafers and casual mandals.

This top features interesting bead details.

Fringe and beads

Cool mandals are noticeably present in the runway showcase.

Shapeless dresses and loose-fitting jumpsuits exude contemporary feminism.

The CFDA-acclaimed label presented its infamous loose-fitting trench coats and oversized blazers and pantsuits, each simply expressing casual confidence. The jacket-like dresses in spirited silhouettes are note-worthy too. The brand’s double-breasted trench coats in glaring prints are particularly electrifying, as well as the printed and fringed frocks. Brocade coat dresses are modernized with leather in this series, and you certainly cannot miss the fringed cycling shorts paired with ultra-cool tops, too. The selection also proved that white and black ensembles never go out of style. Founded in 2002 by fashion designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Proenza Schouler still bangs with its modern, urban style DNA and innovative tailoring techniques.
