Manila, Philippines — Miss World Beauty Organization Top Model Philippines, a model search and fashion show organization, is strengthening its commitment to fulfill its advocacies by partnering with the Philippine Navy.

The Philippine Navy and the Maharlika Productions, Inc., the organizer behind the model search event, signed a memorandum of agreement recently with an aim to support each other’s cause in promoting poverty reduction, medical and dental health, women empowerment, the arts and culture, and environmental awareness. The partnership also aims to protect the country’s marine resources.

Phil. Navy Flag Officer in Command VADM Toribio Adaci Jr. and MPI CEO Faith C. Recto signed the MOA before senior officers and members of the Philippine Navy recently at the Navy headquarters in Roxas Blvd. in Manila.

A Navy Reservist herself, Recto stressed that there is more beauty in the Philippine Navy since it has been doing a great job in fulfilling its duties to protect and serve the country.

PN is aligned with the cause of the model search and fashion event, as it has also been known for promoting women empowerment since the organization has also been actively recruiting women to join the navy. It has also been active in improving the betterment of the lives of the indigenous people, the arts and culture and other environmental activities and livelihood projects.

Recto said that her model search organization is committed to be a very active partner of PN, saying, “There is beauty in the Navy, not just because of the growing numbers of women joining the organization, but because of its several advocacies which help people to live a beautiful life. And we are one with the Philippine Navy to further its cause. Sama-sama nating mahalin ang Pilipinas,” Recto stressed during her speech.

“We have envisioned beauty queens to also thrive in high fashion world and what we will do is to provide the winners of the MWTMP 2023 not only opportunities but a bright future, which can bring them to the runways of Paris, Milan, New York, London and Dubai —  just to name a few,” Recto explains.

“The industry is evolving for the better and that is what we want the public to see. Our talents are just like everybody else who need support, respect, and love and for as long as the Ms.WBO is here, we will make sure they are all taken care of the best way possible,” exclaimed Recto.

The MWTMP is set to present its more than 60 stunning candidates from all over the country who will vie for the Miss WBO Top Model Philippines 2023 title.

VADM Adaci on the other hand, lauded the initiative of Recto in choosing them as a partner saying that through this pageantry, as it will help encourage young women to enlist and realize the beauty of serving the nation.
