Some of the recently presented Fall 2021 prê-à-porter collections by luxury brands have made it clear that this season is all about earth colors and neutrals, and of course, effortless chicness.

Roberto Cavalli

The polishness in Fausto Puglisi’s sexy designs, along with his bold Italian glamour inspired by his roots, is what made him distinct as a designer. Known for his signature double-slit dresses, he designs for unapologetically sexy vixens such as Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce and Madonna- to name a few.

Puglisi was assigned creative director at Roberto Cavalli last October 2020. As expected, he has brought along his sexy high fashion aesthetic into the luxury brand. This time with prominent animal prints, earth colors and silhouettes showing a lot of skin for Roberto Cavalli Fall 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection.

“It’s a brand connected to Italian eccentricity, one with such a glorious energy from the past, but at the same time I’m thinking about the days we are living and thinking about how the future can be,” Puglisi shared. Check out our absolute faves from the RTW Fall 2021 collection:

ETRO

Formerly known for its billowing chiffon and mousseline, Etro has begun anew with its bohemian chic offerings for its Fall 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection. Creative Director Veronica Etro has acknowledged “a sort of freedom (in dressing up) that is developing today”.

”If you see people going out, how they are making their outfits, I don’t think there are those old distinctions anymore. Between outdoor, indoor, leisure, business… between everything, actually,” she said.

Veronica’s Fall 2021 RTW collection has focused on print and solid fusions and earth-colored monochromatic looks– with fabulous quilts, patchworks and fringes. It’s totally a rebirth for the Italian fashion house which was founded by her father in her hometown Milan. Here are our top picks from the series:

Fendi

English designer Kim Jones made headlines in late 2020 for his new role as creative director at Fendi– a position previously held by the iconic Karl Lagerfeld before he passed in 2019.  His first collection for the Italian fashion powerhouse was his Spring/Summer 2021 Haute Couture collection last January 2021, which he described as  what is “England to Rome”.

“This is England in Rome,” Jones shared, describing the inspiration behind his first Fall 2021 Ready-to-Wear collection for Fendi at the Milan Fashion Week.

“I want all my friends to go, ‘I want  has that straight away’,'” the designer shared with WWD. “It’s quite a neutral collection to start the ball rolling. It’s real clothes.”

Kim Jones did not lie, at all. He indeed presented a series of high fashion real clothes in chic neutral that every woman would love to have in her closet, fast

Max Mara

For Max Mara’s 70th anniversary, current creative director Ian Griffiths has presented another series of creations that exude women’s professional power dressing. The everyday elegance is updated with British countryside touches– with ensembles inspired by Queen Elizabeth’s signature style staples (read: head scarves),  and the edgy, rebellious looks of supermodel Stella Tennant who passed last December 2020.

The Max Mara RTW Fall 2021 collection has featured a range of quilted vests, Aran sweaters and trench coats in this season’s obvious it-colors: neutral and earth tones. Griffiths has stayed true to the vision of Max Mara founder Achille Maramotti 70 years ago: to dress up women and wives of Italian men who would rise and grow in society along with Max Mara.
