Okay, Halloween parties are simply not a good idea this season. So we are sharing with you our list of dark comedy and psychological thriller films for when you wanna chill, or simply feel chills in your nerves as you binge watch on these brain-wracking scenes:

1.A Simple Favor (2018)

A Simple Favor, as film critics have noted, has hit a new genre called the Cute Noir. The fashion aspect of the film is note-worthy, with contrasts from Blake Lively‘s sharp style as Emily Nelson, PR director for fictional fashion house Dennis Nylon, and the cutesy, homely allure of Anna Kendrick‘s Stephanie Smothers, a mommy vlogger. This dark comedy unfolds a mystery as single mom Stephanie takes it upon herself to solve the disappearance of her aloof, fashion-plate best friend Emily. The plot is told in style, dark humor and loads of spicy twists.

2.Jawbreaker (1999)

“Death totally bites,” as the movie poster says. Jawbreaker is a cult classic, and not only for its enviable ’90s  fashion, but for its interesting plot. This dark comedy centers on three popular girls in high school who accidentally killed their best friend, and one of them could be a “shoo-in for prom queen”. Rose McGowan‘s Courteney Shane remains to be one of the most bad-ass mean girl characters in the history of teen films and dark comedies with her performance in this movie.

3. Cam (2018)

Cam is a psychological horror by Netflix that went viral in 2018. Madeline Brewer is cam girl Alice, whose unapologetic sexiness and naughtiness online go oddly well with her awkwardness. Alice’s identity has been hijacked in this unusual techno-thriller, with an oddly feminist twist.  From a suicide show to a possible murder, this psychological thriller will make you think to your feet. From her risque corsets, bunny costumes to never-say-die attitude, you’d love Alice’s spunk as she tries to find out who stole her identity and career.

We wouldn’t mind watching  these films over and over because the eye-candy fashion is just a genius contrast to their nerve-wracking plots.
