Transitioning to a new phase of lifestyle during this global pandemic is hard for everyone because there are typical things that we can’t do as frequent anymore, like shopping in bazaars or socializing in Sunday markets. It is certainly challenging for us consumers, so imagine how much more for local small business owners? So to benefit both local buyers and producers, retail gisnt Bench and Katutubo Popup Market have collaborated in organizing an event that features essential clothing and accessories made by Filipino business owners.

Since we’re heading to the “new normal”, the event will feature merchants that offer fashionable essentials either made of or accented with cultural prints and Filipino raw materials. The three-day event also aims to promote local weavers, merchants, as well as the TernoCon 2018 and 2019 designers who need support in order to move forward to the new normal scheme.

To ensure everyone’s safety, the event will follow strict social distancing protocols as well as safety measures like wearing face masks and full face shields. The Department of Tourism also recommended SafePass– a platform that will be able to manage the number of visitors as well as efficient contact-tracing. For more information about SafePass, you may visit facebook.com/safepassportal and choose “Get Safe Pass”.

The Bench x Katutubo PH event will open its doors on September 4-6 at 11 AM to 6 PM, at the Bench Tower, BGC. Here are a few products by our local merchants that will be at the event:
