BGC, Philippines– Artificial intelligence isn’t just a Hollywood fantasy anymore—it’s quietly running our homes, apps, and businesses. But here’s the plot twist: the Philippines is still just starting its AI journey.

The core people behind Philippine Marketing Association (PMA), headed by Ma. Cristina Llacer-Oreta, CPM, 2025 Philippine Marketing Association president
Lucien C. Dy Tioco (PMA past president & NMC overall chair) shared a preview of the upcoming. 54th National Marketing Conference (NMC), happening October 23, 2025, at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts in Pasay City

A recent Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) report shows only 14.9% of local firms use AI tools, mostly big-city players in ICT and BPO. And even with 90.8% of businesses owning computers and 81% online (Philippine Statistics Authority), most MSMEs—the backbone of our economy, employing 63% of the workforce and fueling 40% of GDP—have yet to take the leap.

“We are advocating for a future-ready Philippines, and along with these changes and technological advancements, we are looking forward to a stronger and future-proof MSMEs industry for the country that will shape not only our economy but also the lives of millions of Filipinos,” said Ma. Cristina Llacer-Oreta, CPM, 2025 Philippine Marketing Association President.

A Conference with Big Feelings

Enter the 54th National Marketing Conference (NMC), happening October 23, 2025, at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts in Pasay City. With the theme “AI-NABLED MARKETING: Artificial Intelligence Inside Out,” this one-day gathering is packed with top marketers, deep-dive sessions, and real-life success stories of businesses using AI to supercharge creativity and customer experience.

And just like Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out, AI marketing is all about emotions. Joy is when a customer finds the perfect product through AI-powered recommendations. Sadness comes when a brand misreads the data and misses the mark. Anger shows up when chatbots fail. Fear is the hesitation to adopt new tech. And Disgust? That’s spammy, tone-deaf ads. The conference will explore how tools like neuromarketing and AI can balance these “core memories” to make marketing feel human—not robotic.

“While the challenge of embracing AI is still there, it is our responsibility to impart wisdom and knowledge not only to our people but also to our business partners, fellow marketers and most especially to our customers, hence, this year’s conference will be highlighted by our invited select key leaders who has the experience and ability to discuss the latest trends in AI marketing and how we can help our fellow Filipinos separate reality from virtual reality,” added Oreta.

Why You Should Care

The NMC isn’t just another marketing talkfest—it’s where creativity meets technology (and feelings). With MSMEs at the heart of the economy, this event aims to help Filipino brands ride the AI wave and connect with customers in ways that truly resonate.

The Philippine Marketing Association, the powerhouse behind this annual conference, has long been the go-to hub for world-class marketing ideas. Curious? Get all the details at philippinemarketing.org.
